Safety Coordinator

Basic Function:
Lead resources and activities in support of Operations for all processes related to Safety and Product Manufacturing including training and evaluation of employees. Provide process support in the set-up, operation, and continuous improvement of the manufacturing flow. Perform all activities in support of company goals and objectives to ensure that company/customer requirements are achieved for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
Responsibilities:
1. Participate on the company Safety Manual Team. Participate and lead the company First Aid Team, Hazard Communication Team, Incident Investigation Team.
2. Supervise resources to insure that work orders are completed on time to meet customer quality and delivery requirements per scheduled work center output requirements, priority dispatch lists and management priorities. Review, plan and adjust work schedules to meet requirements.
3. Work closely with ME and quality focal to maintain, troubleshoot and analyze measurement data and impact changes to the manufacturing process to evaluate and recommend adjustments to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements with focus on meeting customer requirements at acceptable risk level.
4. Provide training and perform all tasks to ensure statutory, regulatory, company policy and procedure requirements are met.
5. Interface with all company functions to schedule and participate in safety audits. Issue work orders to appropriate function(s) based on findings. Report findings to appropriate personnel.
6. Initiate and support activities on existing processes with Engineering and Operations to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost. Utilize 5s and Lean Techniques to drive continual improvement efforts, automation opportunities, and incorporation of new technologies, improved ergonomics and reduction of scrap.
7. Consult with Manufacturing / Engineering / Maintenance groups to ensure that safety is designed / implemented into all equipment/processes.
8. Utilize Walk-about boards and participate in meetings in all work cells to facilitate communication, team training and ownership of the Safety, Quality, and Delivery and Cost metrics.
9. Assist Management in Training, development and evaluation of all hourly personnel and schedule/assign personnel to work cells and job assignments to achieve Quality, Delivery and Cost goals and objectives.
10. Initiate and create documentation per ADM-03 procedure for process changes made as a result of troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities, inclusive of justification of all adjustments made, and troubleshooting logic used.
11. Assist and perform other duties in whatever means necessary to maintain effective Safety, Quality and Productivity of departments.

Experience:
Three (3) years experience in manufacturing supervisory position.
Three (3) years experience with detailed training in Safety, OSHA and EPA requirements.

Education/Training:
Degree: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Training: First Aid, CPR, Blood Borne Pathogens, Tow Motor, Fire Extinguisher,
Incident Investigation, GHS Hazard Communication, OSHA 10/30 Hour Training, Lock-Out/Tag-Out
Pay Range $17-$19 per Hour


Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
