At Cleveland Clinic Rehabilitation Hospital our services have been designed for patients who need a longer rehabilitation hospitalization for their recovery. We are currently seeking a Pharmacist PRN to join our team.
Responsibilities
Position Summary
Performs professional functions generally associated with the practice of pharmacy in the institutional setting. Acts administratively in the absence of the Director. Directs technical and clerical pharmacy personnel. Assists in implementation of quality control measures in order to identify and rectify problems.
Qualifications
Specific Duties
Performs all dispensing functions. Transcribes medication orders into computer. Prepares, labels, prices and dispenses individual medications in accordance with doctor's prescriptions.
Compounds and prepares ordered pharmaceutical preparations.
Contacts and confers with physicians if there are any questions or irregularities regarding medication orders.
Monitors total parental nutrition patients as required; prepares total parental nutrition solutions as necessary.
Mixes irrigating solutions and intravenous additive solutions as required, using aseptic techniques with the Laminar arflow hood.
Fills and checks medication cassettes to insure accuracy.
Prepares medications for patients on weekend leave from the hospital.
Consults with physician and nursing staff concerning availability, form, side effects and incompatibilities of currently available drugs. Maintains drug literature source to be at disposal of medical and other professional staff.
Maintains inventory and records of narcotics.
Minimum Education & Experience (Including Licenses)
Current state licensure as a Pharmacist required
One or more years of experience in hospital pharmacy preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
