Regional Director

Purpose The Regional Director manages approximately 30 Planners in a geographical territory. Position reports to the VP of Planners.   Responsibilities Lead territory of approximately 30 Planners to increase client value and improve sales effectiveness during a period of organizational transition. In partnership with support functions (specifically Shared Services and Operations), leadership of sales and sales support staff to ensure groups are working effectively to enhance the client experience. Develop sales strategy for assigned territory that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability. Seek to balance 3 major stakeholders (Company, Client, and Employee) in making sound business judgment decisions. Assist in the development/implementation of marketing plans. Assist in the development/implementation of sales training. Conduct regular one-on-one reviews with Planners to develop selling skills. Partner with Planners to customize a sales process that ensure the achievement of Planner's individual and company goals. Timely and accurate feedback to VP and other senior management on Planner performance. Regular presentation of progress reports, reporting on key milestones and identifying sales obstacles. Regular assessment of sales staff strengths, developmental needs, opportunities and threats. Control expenses to meet budgets and profitability.   Required Experience and Education 5-10 years in the financial services sales management covering a team across a distributed, multi-state territory. 5+ years direct experience managing a workforce of 10 or more individuals including responsibility for hiring, termination, and performance management. Proven ability to lead and motivate sales staff. Past experience and success in managing organizational during period of transition. Deep understanding of financial services and RIAs. Demonstrated success in managing the sales process; incorporating metrics and feedback mechanism to improve results. Experience with contact management systems. Includes using the system to generate system-created reports on sales activity and pipeline in addition to viewing client history. Sound judgment on maintaining confidentiality, as appropriate, and providing sound counsel to teams. Demonstrated success in partnering with sales support functions to achieve superior client experience. Strong understanding of market dynamics. Strong oral and written communication skills, characterized by precision and detail. Ability to effectively manage communications across a distributed territory. Proven history of delivering sales results and growing a professional and dedicated sales force. FINRA Series 65 or a combination of 7 and 66. CFP designation a plus. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
